How do you know when your dog is being aggresive during play?

When i play tug-a-war with my dog, he wags his tail the whole time, but he growls and when i let go and he drops it, when i try to take it back he like digs at my hand sort of or like digs at the rope and growls kind of fiercely but he's still wagging his tail. He has bitten my fingers/hand a little, no broken skin, but by accident he's bitten me a little bit. Is he being a aggressive, and should i punish him for it or is it just normal rough doggie play? lol and btw when i'm tired of playing he's fine and wags his tail and sits with me and kisses/licks my hand hahaHow do you know when your dog is being aggresive during play?
I wouldn't say punish him but if he is getting too rough you should stop the game and say ';no'; to let him know it is unacceptable behavior. Do this every time so he will learn the limit to rough housing. How do you know when your dog is being aggresive during play?
When I play Tug-O-War with my dogs they always growl but I don't do anything with it. It's the game you're playing with him, there's nothing wrong with the game I don't see any problems it causes BUT don't punish him!
He is just playing. My dog does the exact same thing. Whatever you do, don't punish him. And it is important that when you play this game with your dog, that you do not let your dog win because he will think he is more dominant over you.
He's just playing. If he was being aggressive,he would have a distinct stare at you with his head slightly down, hair standing up and his tail wouldn't be wagging.
Thats normal my dogs like to play rough like that, you would know if he's being aggressive hed bare his teeth at you, and bark, and try to bite; he defiantly wouldnt be wagging his tail or coming back for more. haha. The bite you got was probably an accident, maybe tryin to regrip the toy and accidently got your fingers to.
