How do you teach your dog not to be so aggressive?

okay....he plays pretty rough with human...not to the biting point though, but hes really disrespectful, hyper, and happy when theres people around...he like's to climb on them...How do you teach your dog not to be so aggressive?
My puppy is very hyper so i take her on a walk everyday to get most of the hyper-ness out of her system. As for climbing on people and being disrespectful, you could use a squirt bottle, but make sure you squirt them right when they are doing something bad (not ten seconds later) and tell them ';no'; as you squirt them. Another thing I find to work is taking a coffee can and filling it with rocks and give it a shake when your dog does something bad (scares most dogs to death but with some dogs this only works the first few times.) Good luck and I hope this helped!!!How do you teach your dog not to be so aggressive?
Becca had a great answer. I agree with her.

As for training, I'd like to add something:

If you're sitting down and the dog climbs onto your lap, the best thing to do is to stand up and turn away from your dog, completely ignoring them. Sit back down, and repeat if necessary. Dogs respond very well to body language, and your dog will get the hint.

If you're standing up and the dog is trying to jump up or putting his paws on you, it's best to turn your back on them and cross your arms. Repeat, just like the other one above. It'll take the hint.
You have to start training now. Even playing with people. Don't allow him to jump or even put your hand in his mouth. Some breeds are naturally very hyper but they still need discipline.

When you are around other dogs you need to stay calm too. He will pick up on your nervousness and act the same. Or fearful. Aggressiveness to other dogs is usually a fear response. Taking him to pet training will help.

good luck
its usually apart of their breed. idk what kind of dog you have but you may need to do a little research on the breed of the puppy. if he's a mutt do research on everything he may be mixed with
