Over the past year I have been attempting to talk with four different dog parks in three different cities around my area to consider this, and each park would successfully hold the equipment without taking room from the dog's play areas.
I would love to see this happen in my area, as I see a great community effort involved, as well as some volunteer opportunities, such as volunteers to work the area during peak hours so the dogs and handlers stay safe.
Anyways, if your dog park has done this, please share a link about the park or how it came to pass. I would love to use the information in my propositions.
Thanks! and this is an example:

We don't have it, but have discussed adding something to the park. Agility equipment would be great, but someone would have to be around to help owners learn to use it. I think they were considering it, but don't know what happened.Does your dog park have Agility equipment?
We have it at Fort Woof, in Ft Worth, TX. I haven't seen a dog yet go near it. Owners try, but dogs rather play. I would say, save your money and spend it on other stuff for the park.
As much fun as that would be, there are probably concerns about both the cost and liability of having the equipment. It's expensive to buy, there's the possibility of theft, and if people tried to use it without the dogs knowing what they're doing and no trainers around to help, dogs (who knows, maybe even people) could get hurt.
So where I live, there are some private ';parks'; that charge membership fees and you bring your dogs anytime during operating hours and you can use the equipment because the owners of the facility are around to supervise. It's a nice alternative, because even though you're paying, it's not as crowded as a public park and people whose dogs aren't properly socialized have to go through socialization/training before they're allowed in the free play area.
In a perfect world the only kind of dog owner would be a responsible dog owner and we could have parks like what you described. It would be so much fun, but I don't see it happening around here (Ohio) anytime soon. Maybe some day!!
