How to teach my dog to PROPERLY play ball?

My Toy Fox Terrier, Penny, I swear has doggy ADD (yes I know this doesn't actually exist..). She LOVES playing ball. Problem is it's not fun for me. Here's why: I'll throw the ball for her and she's really good, she brings it right back, but then after 5 or 6 times I'll throw it and she'll just stare at me and start barking like ';Okay! It's YOUR turn to go get it now!'; I try encouraging her to go get it but she just barks more.I never give in and go get it for her, I just stop the game. Then, 10 minutes later or so, she'll bring me the ball again and same thing, I'll throw it 5 or 6 times and then she'll just stop. She tends to get bored/distracted very easily which I think has something to do with it. She's also a terrier and terriers are notoriously stubborn.

Is there any thing I can do? I kinda have to do it because on days when I can't take her to run off leash, it helps take the edge off her energy (normal walks don't help much, she needs to RUN). But doing it this way, it takes FOREVER to get her energy out!

BTW, no answers about ';your dog thinks she's dominant'; or ';she doesn't see you as the pack leader';...that's NOT the problem. She is very well behaved and listens to what I say in all other aspects. How to teach my dog to PROPERLY play ball?
Okay, here's the solution. You gotta outsmart your dog. Your dog decides that barking at you is fun after 5 or 6 throws? Throw the ball four times then stop. Don't even give your dog the chance to start barking at you. If she does start after four throws, get a water bottle and squirt her. At that point she won't be associating fetch with the punishment, she'll associate barking. At the same time, teach her the ';Quiet'; command. Say ';Quiet'; firmly at her and the moment she stops barking (you may still have to give her a squirt) give her treats and praise. Or try throwing the ball again if that is what she really enjoys. Regardless, end the game before she starts the barking. That will break the habit. How to teach my dog to PROPERLY play ball?
She just gets bored easily. Try changing up the toy you throw. There are different fetch toys out there that will bounce or wobble. This might make it more interesting for her.
maybe she's just bored with this type of game?

Try a hide and seek game with her.. she may find that amusing. Start by putting her in a stay, hide a favorite toy.. let her watch you hide it, then tell her to go find it, praise her when she finds the toy.. once she gets the idea, start hiding it without her watching.

You can also put a toy on a ';fishing pole'; and have her chase after it.

When she seems to be bored with fetch, then just find another game until she gets bored with that game.

ADDED

All you need is a sturdy pole or stick, a rope of some kind and a toy.
Whitraclo, I haven't had any problems with my toy fox terrier.
