What do you do with a really old dog? If your dog has been with you for years and is now old and doesn't do?

much. What do you do? Do you still try to play with them? Like by rolling a ball or something? Or giving them a toy? Or do you just pet them? I am wondering. I don't have an old dog but it makes me sick in my stomach thinking of when my dog gets really old, how would I play with him and keep him happy to the end? :(What do you do with a really old dog? o that's sad...and wrong. it shouldn't matter what age your dog is, people should still be able 2 pet it, ya kno??? I have an old cocker spaniel (well, kinda old) whom i let most people pet. And it is sad when they get really old because you know they might die soon and it's just sad..:(

You'll know what to do by that time. Hopefully you'll have a good long life together, and grow to know each other well. Don't worry about it yet.
Just play with him until he does not want to play anymore. Give him lots of affection.



And enjoy the ';now';.
Don't worry. Old dogs don't need much to be happy. Just being around you is their favorite thing.
BELLY RUBS = world peace. Just love them and continue on as much as they want to. If he wants to play, then play. If he wanys to snuggle, then snuggle. You will know and grow with your dog. Don't worry, it comes natural.
You just look after him the best way you can.
