How to teach your dog fetch.?

i have a cavalier king charles spaniel, about i don't remember how many weeks but she was born on 2/8/09.

She's a big girly :P (i know she's not big.... my friend has a siberian husky... holy sh**)



well i play fetch i guess.. but with two toys...

You should teach her to drop. The dog needs to learn when to drop things out of her mouth. This will help you if she has something she isn't supposed to have. When she comes back to you after you throw it, tell her to drop it. If she doesn't tell her drop it again. Remember be firm and athourative. If she doesnt drop it just stay there. DO NOT try to take it out of its mouth. It will think you are playng tug of war. she will drop it soon, but if she doesnt throw another ball and make her get that. Keep doing that until she gets the hang of drop it.
Don't teach your dog to fetch, it only teaches them obsessive behavior. Why not enroll her, when she's old enough, in an obedience or agility class?
