If you have a dog who is losing the use of it's rear legs,I urge you to try a doggy wheelchair! I got one for my little dog the other day,and he loves it.He is already wearing it for about 8 hours a day,and he can go outside and run around, play with the other two dogs and get to the water dish by himself.I am so glad I bought it and Levi is happy, too,I can see it in his eyes! Would you consider buying a wheelchair for your dog? Here is Levi in his.

Legit: How old is your oldest dog or cat? Levi is 15 and my oldest cat is close to 20.Does your dog have bad rear legs?
AWWWW! YEA for Levi! I bet he just loved it! To be able to be mobil again is just wonderful! :) Good for him and You too!
My oldest dog right now is 5 years old! Does your dog have bad rear legs?
I owned a 20 year old cat and 2 weeks ago he passed away......He was the love of my life!
I also own 2 other kitties ages 14, and 6.
I also own 3 dogs! Browser is 6, Coco is 5, and Bella is 18 weeks!
Oh, and no, my dogs do not have bad legs!
And, cute doggy! I like how he started to run a little in his chair!
Enjoy!
In the household right now Demon is oldest at 4 yrs old....
he is also king of the bed and of the house.
I love your little dog, and the did great in the doggie wheelchair, just like he had always been it....
it was great for him to be able to get out huh.
thanks for caring so much, to improve the quality of his life.
your a good hearted person for doing that for the baby.
next, he will be racing you down the sidewalk and will win....get your running shoes on..
My dogs weigh about 155 pounds.....I would hate to see the wheelchair they would need. They would not fit in the house with it.
I have two 19 year old cats, and two 16 year olds.
Bless you for getting that for him - I bet he loves being mobile again.
My oldest dog Shadow is 13 - Shepherd Collie mix -rescued stray off the streets - she could be older too but she gets around very well and even plays some - not a lot- with her younger fur- sibs ( a 4 yr old Bluetick Coonhound - Dale, and a 3 yr old Redbone Coonhound- I just adopted 3 weeks ago - Reba). They treat her like mama dog and don't bother her unless she initiates the play - sometimes she will just lick one or the other like they are her pups. She has always been that way though - even when she was younger.
But I will look up the doggie wheelchair and keep it in mind in case we ever have problems with Shadow. Thank you for the heads up.
I love it how dogs in wheelchairs act like there is nothing physically wrong with them, they just go with the flow, happy as any dog would be, ready for anything. I wish that more people could be like that.
Melody, our Chihuahua, is going to need a wheel chair one of these days. Her back legs are getting worse and worse, but she doesn't seem to be in any pain at all, since we're extra careful with her by providing ways for her to easily reach furniture. But she is on arthritis pills for when she shows signs of pain. The vet says surgery will only worsen her knees. So, we will be purchasing a doggy-wheel chair in the (near) future. :)
My oldest dog is Princess, who is 6 years. And my cats, Midnight %26amp; Chelsea (brother and sister) are 6-7 years old. I think Nancy, my most recent cat, is probably around the same age, maybe 5-7 years old or so.
A little more than six years ago, we had our 20 year old cat euthanized. Never was there a day he showed any signs of aging until he had just reached that 20 year marker, then four months later he just couldn't go on anymore. He had been in my family since the day he was born. 鈾?br>
Add - Melody is just reaching 5 years old. I think it was around two years ago when Melody first let us know she was in pain - she wouldn't eat, she was withdrawn and she was not the perky, lively little dog that she normally is - the vet discovered her knee had popped out of place, as soon as he popped it back in, she acted as if nothing had been wrong. Her knee has been fine ever since, but it can be bothersome to her. Luckily, Melody rarely gives us those signs, but when she does, the medication helps her immensely and she goes back to her old fun-loving self.
Thank goodness for doggy wheelchairs for dogs like Levi and ';Wheely Willy';!
