Does your dog ever bark at you?

Sometimes when I'm watching tv or fall asleep on the sofa my lab just starts barking at me. I think he is doing it because he is bored and wants me to pay attention to him. Does anyone else's dog do this? And if so, how do I get him to stop? It was actually funny when he first started doing it but now it can be a little annoying. And he definitely gets enough exercise and playtime. I usually walk him 2-3 miles about 6 days a week and I play ball and frisbee with him on top of that.Does your dog ever bark at you?
My male Dobermann will bark for his meals if he thinks I may have forgotten. He sits by the kibble cupboard %26amp; will give a few deep barks.

I never reward unwanted behaviour with attention %26amp; in a firm but calm voice give a ';hush'; command. He is then ignored.

If 2/3 miles takes about an hour, then your Labrador really needs more exercise. That doesn't necessarily mean more time, just make him work harder. Try throwing a frisbee or gun dog scent toy, take him swimming or obedience exercises. A tired dog is a happy dog.Does your dog ever bark at you?
My little guy barks when he wants to play ball. He has the ball in his mouth and barks standing by the door. As if to say, ';come on mom or dad, it's time to play';. It's funny as HE1L!!!
