lots and lots of exercise...then more exercise. Border collies are very high energy and very smart. You need to be sure you are the pack leader and not being trained by your dog.
just play with her and hang out with her do lots of excirsise cuz my dog she didn't like me but now she loves me and she is allways around me
Play with her and if best try to keep her indoors with you so she can get accustomed to be with you all the time. and if possible let her sleep in the bed with you. feed her by hand which gets the animal used to you. talk it with you when ever possible. Worked for my dog might work for yours.
Exersise Exersise Games.
Ditto to the above. Both of these dog breeds are VERY high energy, intelligent dogs. They are both working breeds and need a daily job to do. In most cases, the best way to assign a ';job'; is to run daily with your dog, patrolling the neighborhood at least 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of obedience challenges. Huskies will run MILES a day and really aren't suited to a low energy owner or family. BC's are herding dogs and want to run run run as well, hopefully after something.
I don't agree with ANY dog being an ';outside'; dog. (No offense!). They are social creatures and become mentally unstable and over-hyper when seperated from the family unit, especially when isolated outside with no other dogs and no job to do. If the reason your dog is confined away from the family is hyperactivity, the daily excercise would help immensely, as would obedience training. The BC is a very intelligent breed in any case and needs to be mentally challenged as well as excercised daily.
The reason your dog isn't connected with you the way you would like is likely the forced seperation and lack of stimulation. Would YOU feel close with someone who locked you in the backyard and didn't spend lots of time with you? Every minute you spend with your dog gets you that much closer to the tight bond you want.
I am not trying to be mean to you, just realistic. If you can't or won't do what I have written above, this just isn't the breed for you and you would do better with a different, lower energy dog. Both these dogs are known for their intense energy levels and you MUST match that.
Take care
