Where to take my dog to play catch and run around?

Where do you take your dog to run around and play if you don't have a yard? They say dog parks are dirty and not to risk running into other aggressive dogs and public parks have leash laws, so where do you go? My husband and I were going to a public, fenced in park for over 6 months twice a day to let him run around with other dogs. We have come to know the owners and pets pretty well. We're proud of how socialized he is. He is a gsd and so being socialized was very important. Due to complaints and a newly updated baseball field, we have been kicked off numerous time by the DPW. As responsible owners, I wish we could take advantage of the park for our pets. Has anyone else encountered anything like this - have you tried ';dog'; parks? Thanks!Where to take my dog to play catch and run around?
I wouldn't take your dog to the dog park if it is under 20lbs. But I take my dog, Lhasa Apso, to the dog park all the time and she loves it, but your dog will drool and get dirty so bring a towel and three water bottles.Where to take my dog to play catch and run around?
I would take him to the nearest park because they need fresh air and the love to play so the nearest park would be good
Dog parks are the greatest place. Not only do they provide a fenced in safe area for you dog to run around and play with other dogs in, but they allow you to meet other dog owners as well. I take my parents dogs to the dog park all the time and they LOVE it. I love talking to the other owners and learning new things too.

Good luck!
Sometimes going to an empty park or a big field is really good. I know my dog loves this park by my house, and there's an open field right next to it. He likes to play ball over there.
Hello,

Dog parks are the best place you can take your dog to. This is also a great place for him to socialize with other dogs. And a great place for you to find good friends, too :)
As long as the dog park looks safe and clean, that is where I would take my dog. Of course, wherever there are dogs there will be ';mess,'; but as long as it isn't everywhere, there shouldn't be a problem. We took our Golden Retriever to dog parks whenever we could and he loved it!
