How do you get your dog to play with new toys?

First, I show the dog the toy and gauge interest in it. If the toy squeaks or makes any kind of exciting noise, I do that next. I will then either toss the toy (if it's meant to be fetched) and tell the dog to get it or will give it to the dog (if it's a chew toy, like a bone) and praise her for sniffing, then licking, then eventually chewing it.How do you get your dog to play with new toys?

Make a really big fuss of the new toy, like it's something only for you and don't them have when they first express interest. Tease them a bit. It's just like with kids, anything they can't have, they will automatically want.
My dog has no problem playing with new toys, anything she find when she's running around in a frenzy she'll pick up and destroy.

Maybe just throw it around heaps make it look exciting. Let your dog know its their toy, maybe he or she thinks that its your thing so they haven't touched it yet incase of getting introuble?
what i do with my dog is i get her all hyper and make her look at the toy not like her i'm gonna put a toy in her face put the toy in front of her face and move it all around her. if she isn't interested you have to give her time. get her hyper and put the toy up and down and even throw it down the hall.

good luck
