A happy topic: What's your favorite way of playing with your dog?

I'm just curious to know how different people on this site like to play with their dogs. I love to make my husband hold my dog while I hide somewhere in the house and then call out, ';Where's Mommy?'; When she finds me I exclaim, ';You found me!'; and give her a treat. I love the little victory dance she does when she finds me.A happy topic: What's your favorite way of playing with your dog?
Satchmo is a redbone coonhound, so I found him a stuffed squeeky raccoon : ) and we play tug-of-war with it. It's his favorite toy. My husband likes to blow in his face - Satchmo gets really excited and barks back. I also really just enjoy long walks through the woods, watching his little nose working and sniffing everything in sight.A happy topic: What's your favorite way of playing with your dog?
My favourite game to play with my Springer, is find the ball. I will hide the ball somewhere in the house and she'll set of in search of it, or playing this game in the park. I hide the 'toy' in the grass, or plants etc and send her off to find it.

My mutt doesn't like to play games, but I like to do his tricks with him, that's something he enjoys.
Awww what a good question and a great story :) my parents have a big great dane that's about 9 months old and I play a game slightly similiar to yours, my parents used to have a cat and she would constantly chase it but now the cat lives with my sister, she gets easily excited and so I will start jumping around the house saying ';GET THE KITTY'; because she is still used to chasing after it and she will run around with her gigantic body so gleefully looking everywhere for the kitty. One time she got so excited she knocked over a huge couch lol. I usually give her a treat after all the running and jumping.
We only got our puppy a few days ago - still unnamed - but she loves playing tug now she's figured it out xD she also loves being chased and goes on mad flids around the house - she's so cute until you see she's got a shoe and you've gotta chase her (:
Bubbles and I have a game where I'll get her chew toy and start crawling away like I'm stealing it. She'll get excited and run and try to take it from me. Then, when she gets it, she goes to her spot, and I'll act like I'm going to take it back and she'll growl at me and run in circles.
Our Benn loves plain and simple Play fighting, wrestling for his favourite toy (a deflated leather football)

He knows how rough to play with various ages, and often ends up on the trampoline wrestling with the lads (a 4, 11, %26amp; 12 year old)
When im out walks i do the exact same as you. Down the road from me there is a big park. I get my friend to hold Diesel my dog and then i go and hide. As it was summer the grass was incredibly long and i hid in there. He always found me no problem (:
My favorite game to play with my pekingese is when we play cowboys and indians. i make a gun out of my hand and say ';powpowpow!!'; and she stops and runs away and then i run and hide and she comes running in so i jump out of hiding and shoot her again. it could go on forever =]
Oh! This is going to be long. I love playing with my dogs!

Both of them go crazy with Bob Dylan's harmonica, or the Beatle's harmonica (I guess it reminds them of a dog howling). I open up the video, they get really excited, stand up on their high legs, ';dance'; and bark!

I play hide and seek, as well. When they are busy chewing their bone, I run away noisily, and hide behind a curtain, for example. They run after me like mad, sniffing around, and when they find me, they do me a party!

I throw them the tennis ball, they go away with it, and I run after them. It turns to a running game and they get really excited, then I get the tennis ball, play tug of war until it's my turn to steal it, and they run like crazy after me!

I discovered that my youngest dog loves to look at me on the swimming pool. I swim from side to side underwater, and, excited, he runs as fast as he can to the other side so he can pull me underwater with his paws when I come to surface! We are trying various water games like this and he's loving!

I love my dogs!
My little weiner dog, when i tough her nose she puts her head up and tries to bite my finger- not hard, but very slowly, like shes unaware. So i'll do it again and she be more and more faster, and she gets real mad at me. Ish sho cute
