How can you get your dog from barking at other dogs?

My dog just wants to play with other dogs but gets a little agressive.How can you get your dog from barking at other dogs?
I used 'PetCorrector', it's a red can of compressed air, that makes a loud 'hiss'. You use it the instant the dog starts to bark, and it cured my staffie of dominance barking at other dogs, she can now happily approach other dogs without feeling the need to bark and lunge at them. It's also stopped my friend's dog from jumping up at visitors. I'd recommend it so much, as it's a non aggressive way to change behaviour. other dogs- cant do anything about them....most of the time it's a dominance issue......

Hmm, training maybe. If your dog is aggressive he should not be loose with other dogs unless you want to pay vet bills. Many breeds/dogs do not like other dogs, Akita, Pit bulls, Australian Cattle dogs, dogue de Bordeaux to name a few. But he should not bark at them either.

well, it is dominant for a dog to bark at other dogs so u cant really do anything about it unless you train it from an early age. It is just the temperament of the dog
there is a simple solution.

you dont need any of those stupid tools.

all you need to do is, when you are going for a walk with your dog as soon as his attention goes off straight ahead all you do is quickly strick the lead and make a quick sound such as a fast ';shhc';

this takes the attention off the other animal.

it does take some time but it works.
I would think that if he's on a leash then take him in the opposite direction of the other dogs
