How to get your dog to get along with other dogs?

My dog is about a year old now and i decided to take her to the dog park and when i did she acted weird the whole time we were there she sat in between my legs and would not play with the other dogs. When the dogs came up to her she was really scared and started barking weird it was a really high pitch bark.So i toke her 3 more times and she still acted weird. How to get your dog to get along with other dogs?
Introduce your dog to other dog's,if you have a friend that has a friendly well socialized dog, have them bring the dog around have your dog on a leash and introduce them slowly to each other.Do not pat your dog when she is barking at other dogs this will just reinforce the behaviour, you are giving her the message that it is ok to behave in this manner. If she starts to bark at other dog say NO sternly let her know it is not a good behaviour, when she stops barking reward the non barking with a praise or a treat.Slowly introduce her to a placid dog,she will soon learn there is nothing to fear from the other dog,you can play with the other dog and allow her to join you, throw the ball have FUN=playing with other dogs is FUN.Good luckHow to get your dog to get along with other dogs?
It depends on how much she was socialized with other dogs when she was a puppy. If she is that nervous, then it might help to start with socializing her with one dog a and then increasing the number as she starts to get more comfortable. However, she may just be naturally anxious so don't force it to much. Just give her time and start slow.
Well...you have to introduce dogs to others when they are puppies, so they can get used to them. Did she act the same way when you took her back? Like was her bark really high pitch? Did she bark at all or did she just...act weird?
since u have kept it inside till a yeah and now wen it sees some thing new outside it starts to reflect through barking so it take some time for ur dog to get into other doggu so dont force it just leave it
