How Do You Keep Your Dog Entertained?

Recently I've been a bit busy but I still aim to play with her everyday. I let her run about everyday but I see she's lounging around the house more nowadays - snoozing in the sun, sleep at my feet etc.

She just seems quite bored!



So, how do you keep your dog entertained?How Do You Keep Your Dog Entertained?
Do you have a breed of working dog? If so, let her do her thing! If she is a pointer, take her out into a field in the country and let her point. Herder? See if you can convince a sheep/goat owner to let your dog have fun, or maybe you could convince a bunch of moms with rowdy kids. LOL. Otherwise, try taking her to doggie daycare(NOT kennels) even if you are home.. That way she can socialize with other dogs.How Do You Keep Your Dog Entertained?

In the mornings I take my dogs for an hour long walk through the huge parks around where I live (Australia). They have a sniffing good time!!



Then I do some training with them for about 15mins when we get back and play some fetch. They are usually so tired after that the sleep for the rest of the day.



At the end of the day I usually do some more training activities. I'm a big advocate for training dogs if you couldn't already tell. Tricks help stimulate the dogs mentally and is therefore very important for healthy development.



I also provide them with heaps stmulating toys.
I have a Chihuahua 5lbs, a Havanese 10lbs and a Doberman 125lbs..we run 6 miles 5 days a week all together in the hills..3 miles up and 3 miles back down. On the weekend they watch me to tae bo while they chew on pig ears
Give the dog something to nibble.

my 2 love shameless (the uk tv) series and home %26amp; away (aussie soap) also they love music, giving them a walk about 10pm is nice quiet time together etc...plenty of toys etc..
With a KONG!



I put in some peanut butter and a few of Nutro's Natural Choice crunchy apple treats. And for a good 30 mins my sheltie is busy, busy,LOL

Play with her. Play ball, play with her toys, stuffed animals and get her to play with them. Sing to her.
