Does your dog have a favourite colour?

Ok, this is just for a bit of fun as it's the weekend.

We know which toys are our dogs' favourites, but has anyone else noticed their pets' preferences for specific colours?

For example, my dog loves squeaky toys as a rule, but if there's any yellow toy around he'll choose that one. He favours his yellow toys over all others when invited to play, he even pinches the yellow toys when we visit our friends with children!

How about some of you, what's your dog's favourite colour?Does your dog have a favourite colour?
Dogs can see several colors, they're not completely color-blind. But are just red-green blind. (What's for us green is for them white)

Look at this page, and you'll realize, how do they see things:)

My dogs have no favourite color.Does your dog have a favourite colour?
You do realize that dogs can't see colors....

right?
Well, its been proven that dogs can only see in black in white, because in the eye there are two different, umm, things haha sorry I forgot their name, a black and white one, and a color one. Dogs don't have the color one. So its probably the shape of the yellow one he likes.

But no sorry I don't have a dog.
it has been proven by scientists that dogs and horses can only see in black and white.Perhaps your dog goes for the yellow toys because he likes the look of them rather than the colour?
dogs are actually colourblind.

it might not be the colour that your dog sees but it could just be what your dog likes. if it is by colour then its just the ';shade of colour'; your dog sees

my dog doesnt really have a favourite colour. but she likes this old stuffed toy and refuses any other toy, even if its brand new

:o3 woof!
sorry my dog is color blind
My dog loves any toy I don't think he cares about color.

Dogs are not completely color blind but they are suppost to not be able to see: red-orange-green greenish blue and shades of purple.

I know exactly what you mean.

My cavalier still plays with her 3 identical puppy rings; florescent green, bright pink and florescent yellow and she always want to play with the green one.

I'm not saying she can see the colours like we do but she definitely knows the difference between the three.
Ok this is weird cos we have this massive pack of them play balls that you put in pop up tents and in the pack their was one light blue one (I think it is just a blue one that faded) So when ever we put them all over the floor! I swear there is about 50 in all different colours our Boxer Toby only goes for the light blue one every single time! Its really really weird as he cant see colour but he knows that there is only one light blue one so he goes for that!

Also my grandads Samoyed Polo can see colour and dogs who have all white fur can see colour! Weird isn't it?
